Can I Join If I’m Not LDS?
Absolutely! Being LDS (or "Mormon") is not a requirement to being a part of this great organization. Mormon Choral Organizations (MCO) is open to people of all faiths who have a common love of the beautiful music that binds us all. Each participant is expected to follow the Code of Conduct included in the Participant Handbook. These standards play an important role in maintaining a high level, professional program. Additionally, the music performed by Mormon Choral Organizations (MCO) is not limited to those of a particular faith. From Renaissance motets, classical masterpieces and traditional Christmas carols, to African-American spirituals, modern choral arrangements and exciting new compositions, the repertoire of MCO is a delight for choral singers and instrumentalists from a wide variety of backgrounds.
If you have specific questions or concerns regarding participation in MCO, please contact us.
