Mormon Choral Organizations of America is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded with the purpose of teaching and encouraging excellence in quality sacred and classical music. Our primary purpose is to provide a unique and unsurpassed level of music education to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the community. We also seek to offer this tremendous opportunity to members of all faiths throughout the community. In doing so, we provide an invaluable learning environment whereby children, youth, and adults can associate with and share talents with those who maintain upstanding values.

We promote the developing, honing, and sharing of musical talents both in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in the community. While EVMCO is independent of the organization of the Church, our passionate efforts are focused on improving the quality of music in Church meetings, and instilling in its participants a deep love for sacred and classical music. Our weekly rehearsals not only expose the participants to various classical and sacred works, but also teach the fundamentals of technique, music history and theory, conducting, and an appreciation of quality music. Our choirs and symphony orchestra perform regular concerts together in state-of-the-art concert halls, providing an incomparable experience for all participants, even children as young as four years old. The result is a more cultured, musically sensitive generation of members of the Church and community – one that will build music to a level of artistry that many of our latter-day prophets have foretold.

We seek to inspire, teach, and uplift members of the organization and the community. Our regular concerts offer the recurring opportunity for participants and audience to be edified and inspired by fine choral and orchestral music, including stirring, inspirational hymn arrangements. Concerts are appropriate for members of all faiths, and all are welcome.
